Kick Start with Parent
July 29-30, 2022
Dean: Mandy Van Dalsem
Kick Start Camp is for campers going into 2nd and 3rd grade who are not quite ready for the solo camp experience offered at Camp 23. This unique weekend getaway is designed to introduce these campers to Christian camping in a comfortable environment. They will explore the wonder of God’s story through storytelling, games, crafts, devotion time together, and a whole lot of fun! Campers will attend this overnight camp with a parent (or guardian) in order to gain more confidence in the camping experience and hopefully prepare them to come by themselves in the future.
Kick Start check-in will be from 5-6 P.M. on Friday and the program will begin with dinner at 6 P.M. Camp will end on Saturday at 4 P.M.
PLEASE NOTE: We have room for parent/child combos (dad/son; dad/daughter; mom/son; mom/daughter), but WE DO NOT HAVE FAMILY STYLE ROOMS FOR THIS SESSION (mom & dad plus camper). You may still register and come as a family combo, but you will not be housed together.
Email MUST be provided for you to receive confirmation of registration. Your email address will also be added to our current database. We only send an average of 5-10 emails per year, and you have the ability to opt-out/unsubscribe from our mailing service at any time. Emails that pertain directly to this registration will NOT be affected if you choose to unsubscribe as they will come directly from our office email and not our mass mailing service. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at [email protected].
If you do not attend a church on the list, please choose "Other." If you do not have a home church or you are unsure what to choose, select "Other" and note that in the box that will appear.
CAMPERS WILL BE HOUSED WITH THE PARENT REGISTERED WITH THEM. Additionally, we typically house campers with others from their church, and generally by grade level. If you would like to room with someone specific, write their name(s) below (max of 2). Please list your choices in order of importance to your camper. We will try to make sure ALL requests are met. Please feel free to contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns about housing.
There will be 1-2 canteen times during Kick Start. Items available include candy, drinks, and High Hill merchandise. Snack and drink items are $1 each. Merchandise items range from $5-30. You can choose to bring cash or credit/debit with you to camp for canteen OR pre-pay. Money can be added now or at check-in. Any unused amount is donated to the mission of the week.
Your tuition includes basic canteen ($4/person).
Would you consider giving toward our scholarship fund? This fund helps provide tuition fees for children who otherwise may be unable to afford to come to camp. For more information on our scholarship fund, contact Lori at [email protected]
Every year we let our campers participate in supporting a Christian mission during camp. During the session, we hear from, learn about, and get to know our mission and are encouraged to sacrifice part of our abundance to support those doing God's work. Each year we raise roughly $10,000 to help our mission partner. If you would like to donate ahead of time, that is much appreciated and helps us reach our goal faster! THANK YOU!
